First FloorPunched Card Machines and machine parts from 1890 until the 1950s.
Figures about data processing in Finnish computer centers from 1948 until the present.
IBM-360 control board, some parts of mainframes (i.e. processors about water cooled computers), punched cards and punched paper tapes and an application executed with punched card system. Also the plugboard is included.
Information about computers that are on display at University of Jyväskylä: IBM 610, IBM 1620, IBM 1130, Honeywell H 1640 and some 21st century technologies.
Supercomputer Cray 1S from the 1970s.
Second FloorLaser printers and laser generators for them. One big "laser gun" from IBM 3800 offers a printing speed of 20.000 lines per minute. Also several different hard disks and disk units are on display. Various memory technologies and magnetic information saving are exhibited.
The exhibit displays parts from complex computers, including power cables, thyristor, rectifier, water pipers from water cooled computers, disk units from the 1960s, as well as miniature gigabits hard disks from the 21st century. Also CD units and floppy units from different eras are presented.
A variety of data communication testing and monitoring devices from IBM are exhibited.
Third FloorData communication devices from Teletype through acoustic modems are displayed, as well as parts from old telephone exchanges. Computer networks topologies and parts of computer networks are exhibited. Also parts of the internal network of Agora and parts related to that are exhibited. The whole trajectory of PC technology is presented, everything from the big first generation "personal computers" to today's small pocket computers and Nokia Communicators.
